The Maokong Gondola is the first gondola system in Taipei City. It is a 4.03-kilometer-long, 30-minute one-way gondola system manufactured by the French company POMA. There are four stations along the route: "Taipei Zoo Station", "Taipei Zoo South Station", "Zhinan Temple Station", and "Maokong Gondola Station" for passengers to board and exit.
The three most beautiful moments of the gondola ride are the clouds after the rain, the evening sunset, and the brilliant night view. As you ride the gondola, you can see the moving MRT train, the riverside park along the Jingmei River, and the giraffe incinerator as you move up and down the mountain. When you come to the 2 stations at the corner, there is a big turn, which opens up the view of the highway traffic. After the Zhinan Temple Station, you will enter a V-shaped steep slope, which is the climax of the gondola journey and will be remembered for a long time.
