【North Coast Must-Visit Attractions】Yehliu Geopark X Juming Museum
Stunning Rocks and Outdoor ArtXOutdoor ArtInviting You to Wander Between Art and Nature!
|Yehliu Geopark
CNN once reported on the unique beauty of "Yehliu Geopark," describing it as akin to extraterrestrial geology, making it the most Mars-like rock environment on Earth.
A visit here offers a panorama of bizarre rocks and stones, including the internationally renowned "Queen's Head" and formations like "Ice Cream Rock," "Honeycomb Rock," "Ginger Rock," and "Candlestick Rock" which are highlights of marine erosion. The richness of geology and terrain here is truly breathtaking, a marvel of nature's craftsmanship!
Moreover, the rich marine ecology and fishing village charm of the surroundings make Yehliu a well-rounded educational, tourist, and recreational destination. Each May, the Jinshan Ci Hu Temple's Mazu pilgrimage includes a visit to the sea erosion cave at Yehliu Cape where the statue was originally found, making a grand procession through the geopark, which is quite special.
Getting to Yehliu Geopark is easy: just take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Crown North Coast line from Tamsui MRT station to Yehliu Geopark stop for a fast and easy arrival. The Crown North Coast line is also one of the free transportation routes for the Fun Card!
