｜Unveil the Secret of the Western Secret Slide with Professional Tour

Visitors participating in the tour will be led by a professional tour instructor and will be equipped with a special audio device so that they can listen clearly to the instructor's in-depth explanation and enjoy the most professional and high-quality tour service.

*Special audio devices must be rented with a valid ID (ID card, driver's license, health insurance card, passport or permanent resident card for foreigners) and the pledged ID will be returned upon return of the machine.

The underground tunnels, which have always been highly mysterious, are located under the The Grand Hotel Taipei, the only world-class hotel with this design today! The tunnels are located on both the east and west sides, with the eastern exit leading to Beinan Park (67 meters long) and the western exit leading to Jiantan Park (85 meters long).

 

After half a century, the western secret slide is finally unveiled in front of the world, and everyone can witness the "world's longest secret slide way" for themselves!

The secret slide is hidden in the second floor of the basement, push open the metal door and the complete tunnel will be displayed in front of you. With the professional guide, let's enter the torrent of historical stories together!

In addition to the secret slide, the Grand Hotel Taipei also has a unique beauty hidden everywhere!

In the center of the lobby, there is a plum blossom-shaped algae well in the ceiling, with five golden dragons surrounding a dragon pearl in the center of the plum blossom, meaning "five blessings". The algae well is surrounded by 23 golden dragons and 16 phoenixes, taking the "3" harmonically meaning "ascending" and "16" accompanied by the large plum blossom “fortune,” meaning all the way to prosperity.

The Grand Hotel Taipei was formerly a Taiwanese shrine, which was built by the Japanese at that time, and this century-old golden dragon is a preserved relic. It’s very special because this golden dragon has three claws and is different from the four- or five-clawed dragons we usually see!

The Garden Café is located on the left side of the lobby on the first floor. The restaurant is decorated with a blend of traditional architecture and contemporary art, and a professional floral team led by internationally renowned artists is invited to create a new highlight of contemporary art for the Garden Café.

  • Please keep your tickets in a safe place, no replacement will be issued if lost.
  • No additional invoices or receipts will be issued on site for the amount of the voucher.
  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or change.

  • The payment need to be completed within an hour after the order taken place. The system will automatically cancel the order after the payment deadline.
  • The system does not provide the function to modify the order, if you want to change the quantity, you need to return the ticket and reorder.

  5. Please complete the check-in and ticketing process 10 minutes prior to the tour, no delays, rescheduling or backorders will be allowed.
  6. Maximum number of persons per booking is 8. 
  7. Each cell phone number can only book once before the tour date. You will not be able to make another appointment if you have not exceeded your tour date or completed your check-in so please try another cell phone number.
  8. For safety reasons, each child under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent.
  • Notes of Secret Slide Tour:
  1. Visitors with heart disease, pregnant women, the elderly, claustrophobic, mobility problems, or those who are not physically fit should not experience the secret slide.
  2. In order to preserve the historical appearance of the tunnel, visitors should not ride the slides, run, push or damage the facilities.
  3. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and be aware of their safety at all times. (For safety reasons, each child under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent)
