| National Taiwan Science Education Center Permanent Exhibition 3-6F Tickets + Sky Bike
The National Taiwan Science Education Center is a diverse exhibition pavilion featuring a wide range of scientific displays and educational activities, with permanent exhibitions on life science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and earth science. Its special exhibitions convey everyday scientific knowledge through lively and engaging displays.
The Science Center also collaborates with museums both domestically and internationally to host interesting science-related exhibitions; it also features dynamic 3D theaters, 3D theaters, earthquake theaters, a science library, and well-equipped science labs, expanding public understanding of applied science.

Is your heart strong enough? Are you up for the challenge? National Taiwan Science Education Center’s Sky Bike is a must-try for the bold! Utilizing the principles of levers, the center of gravity of a roly-poly, and tension, this thrilling ride at five floors high is both safe and exciting. Put on the safety gear, get on the bike, and see if you can master the principles of equilibrium and defeat the roly-poly effect by successfully stabilizing the bike!
Principles applied in the Sky Bike
This interactive space bike, set five floors above the ground, demonstrates balance principles, where adults and children can experience firsthand the principles of relative balance and gravitational center.
(i) Lever principle: Utilizing the lever, the force applied is balanced by the resistance, where the torque produced by the force at the fulcrum is equal to the torque produced by the resistance.
(ii) Roly-poly center of gravity principle: The sky bike uses the roly-poly principle, with a counterweight installed under the bike to maintain its center of gravity, explaining why it doesn’t flip over when ridden high up.
(iii) Tension principle: The system is designed so that when the full-loaded bike reaches the middle of the cable, the internal tension of the cable is adjusted by tension towers set up on the platform opposite, capable of handling 40,000 pounds.
