| National Taiwan Science Education Center Permanent Exhibition 3-6 Floors Ticket + Sky Bike
The National Taiwan Science Education Center is a hub of diverse scientific exhibitions and educational activities. Its permanent exhibition areas include rich contents in life sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and earth sciences, while special exhibitions convey scientific knowledge through exciting and engaging displays.
The center also collaborates regularly with museums both domestically and internationally to host fascinating science-related exhibitions. Additionally, it features a dynamic 3D theater, a 3D cinema, an earthquake theater, a science library, and fully equipped science labs, broadening the public's perspective on applied science.

Is your heart strong enough for a challenge? Dare to try the National Taiwan Science Education Center's Sky Bike! Using principles of levers, weebles, and tension balance, this thrilling five-story-high Sky Bike is safe and exhilarating. Put on safety gear, hop on, and see if you can master the challenge by swaying left and right to defeat the principle of the weeble!
Principles applied in the Sky Bike
Interactive space bike located five floors above ground, demonstrating balance principles. Both adults and children can experience firsthand the principles of relative balance and center of gravity while riding.
(i) Lever principle: Uses a lever to save effort by increasing the distance of force application. When balanced under the action of force and resistance, the torque produced by the force on the fulcrum is equal to the torque produced by the resistance.
(ii) Weeble center of gravity principle: The high-altitude bike uses the principle of a weeble, with a counterweight installed under the bike to maintain its center of gravity, which is why it does not overturn when ridden high up.
(iii) Tension principle: Designed so that when the bike reaches the middle of the cable, the internal tension of the cable is controlled by tension towers set across the platform, capable of withstanding 40,000 pounds. The tension causes the cable to stretch, compressing two rubber-covered springs in the tension towers to produce a reaction force.
