|Yehliu Geopark

Yehliu Geopark has been featured by CNN as a destination with otherworldly beauty, likened to a Martian landscape on Earth.
The park is home to a variety of spectacular rock formations shaped by coastal erosion, including the world-famous “Queen’s Head,” along with must-see wonders such as the “Ice Cream Rock,” “Honeycomb Rock,” “Ginger Rock,” and “Candle Rock.”
Visitors will be amazed by the rich geological formations and marvel at nature’s incredible craftsmanship.

In addition to its fascinating geology, Yehliu is known for its rich marine ecology and traditional fishing village atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for education, tourism, and leisure.
Every May, during the return procession of the Matsu pilgrimage from Jinshan’s Cihugong Temple, the ceremonial team parades through the park, passing by the sea cave where Matsu was once said to be discovered—an extraordinary sight to behold.

Getting to Yehliu Geopark is easy: simply take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Crown Northern Coast Route from Tamsui MRT Station and get off at the Yehliu Geopark stop.
This route is also included in the free transportation options of the Taiwan FunPASS!
