[One Day Tour in Taipei Muzha] Enjoy the Double Fun of the Zoo and the Maokong Gondola!

|Taipei Zoo, the largest zoo in Taiwan

The Taipei Zoo is one of the top ten urban zoos in the world. It is easily accessible by taking the MRT Muzha Line to the Zoo station. The park is home to over four hundred species of animals, making it the largest zoo in Southeast Asia.

The exhibition areas in the park include Taiwanese Indigenous Animals Zone, Children's Zoo, Insectarium, Education Center, Koala House, Giant Panda House (Shin Kong Special Exhibition Hall), Asian Tropical Rainforest Zone, Desert Animal Zone, Australian Animal Zone, African Animal Zone, Bird Garden, Amphibian and Reptile House, Temperate Zone Animal Zone, Penguin House, etc. You can see animals that are not easily seen in daily life, and through detailed professional explanations, you can further understand the living environment and habits of animals. The zoo is a place of education, conservation research and recreational value.

The park is like a diverse museum, a teaching museum that can showcase the biodiversity of life, a conservation base for wild animals, and an ideal spot for people to enjoy rich and intellectual recreation.

|Maokong Gondola, overlook Taipei 101 and enjoy the 360-degree skyline of Taipei

The Maokong Gondola is the first cable car system in Taipei. It is an automated circulation system produced by the French POMA company. The total length is 4.03 kilometers, and the one-way trip takes about 30 minutes. There are four stops along the line, namely the "Zoo Station", "Taipei Zoo South Station", "Zhinan Temple Station", and "Maokong Station" for passengers to get on and off.

The most beautiful moments to take the cable car are after the rain, in the sunset glow of the evening, and the bright night view. When you sit on the cable car and move with the terrain, you can see the MRT train in motion, the River Park on the bank of the Jingmei River, and the giraffe incinerator. When you reach Corner 2 Station, there will be a big turn, and at this time, you will have an open view providing a panoramic view of highway traffic. After Zhinan Temple Station, it begins to enter a V-shaped steep slope, which is also the climax of the cable car journey—a memorable experience.

|Zoo Tourist Train (One-Way)

Have you heard that giraffes, tigers, and zebras are wandering around the park while children scream with joy when they see them?

The tourist train is painted with animal print patterns that are loved by both children and adults. It is one of the must-do activities for many tourists visiting the zoo.

The main train station is located next to the Koala House in the park. If you enter from Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo South Station, you can take the tourist train at Bird Park Car Station near Bird Park.

If you are tired from walking in the park or if you're pushing a stroller or carrying baggage, taking the "Zoo Tourist Train" is definitely your best choice to save time and effort! It allows you to move around comfortably while enjoying your visit to the zoo.

Each train has a different layout and space setting. The zoo suggests folding up strollers before boarding so that children can ride more comfortably. All tourist trains have a carriage dedicated to wheelchairs in their last section. If you need assistance, please inform service staff who will help passengers board.
