National Palace Museum 

The National Palace Museum houses a collection of Chinese historical artifacts and art masterpieces, which can be roughly divided into bronzeware, calligraphy and painting, ceramics, books and documents, handicrafts, and palace cultural relics. Famous bronzewares include the Mao Gongding, the San-Shi Pan, and the Zong Zhou Bell. The three famous calligraphy and painting works are Guo Xi's "Early Spring," Fan Kuan's "Travelers Amid Mountains and Streams," and Su Shi's "Cold Food Observance." Famous books and documents include the Complete Library of the Four Treasuries housed in the Wenyuan Pavilion, and the Summaries of the Complete Library of the Four Treasuries in the Chai Zhaotang. The handicrafts are the biggest feature of the National Palace Museum, including the must-see star exhibits, the Jadeite Cabbage and the Meat-shaped Stone, and approximately tens of thousands of pieces of jade ware, as well as lacquerware, glass, gold and silver ware, and brush and ink paper inkstones.

On your first visit, you can focus on the popular exhibits mentioned above, and if time allows, you can also visit other exhibits, such as the Qing Dynasty coral Kui Xing Dian Dou Bonsai, the Tang Dynasty gray pottery and painted female figurines, the Northern Song Dynasty Ru kiln celadon lotus-shaped warming bowl, the Qing Dynasty Qianlong Ji Qing Miao Jin Youyu Zhuan Xin Ping, the Warring States period inlaid peacock stone turquoise Xizun, the Eastern Han Dynasty Jade Pi Xie, the Song to Yuan Dynasty Yellow Jade Duck, etc. The exhibits in the museum are regularly updated, and special exhibitions are organized according to different themes to meet the needs of travelers exploring Chinese culture that spans thousands of years.

※This admission ticket allows access to all current exhibitions in the main building of the exhibition area in the Northern Branch, as well as a visit to the Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines on the same day.

｜ Taipei Double-Decker Sightseeing Bus 

  • Redemption Process: Present your electronic voucher (QR Code) at the departure point located at Taipei Main Station (Zhongxiao), near Exit M4 of the Taipei Main Station MRT. Service personnel will scan the QR Code and exchange it for a paper ticket, which you can then use to board the bus. Please ensure to keep the paper ticket safe, as lost tickets will not be reissued and are necessary for continued use.

  • Within one hour of placing an order, payment must be completed. The system will automatically cancel orders that exceed the payment deadline.
  • The system does not provide the option to modify orders. If you need to change the number of people, please request a refund and place a new order.
  • Products cannot be refunded after they have been redeemed.
  • If you have an unused product and wish to request a refund, please go to [Member Center]->[Paid]->[I want a refund] to apply for a refund. Refund requests will not be accepted after the deadline.

｜ Instructions for Riding the Taipei Double-Decker Bus

  • Bus Arrival Time may be slightly affected by traffic conditions, please queue early before the bus arrives.
  •  Qualification:
    • Children below 114 cm in height can participate in this activity for free.
    • Half-price tickets apply to: Taiwanese visitors aged 65 and above, children aged 6-12 who are over 115 cm in height, nationals holding disability certification, and one accompanying person or guardian.
    • Please present your ID card or residence permit to purchase half-price tickets from on-site staff.
    • Each paying adult can bring up to two children aged 0-5. Additional children must purchase child tickets.
  • Other Notes:
    • Multilingual audio guides are available in Chinese / English / Japanese / Korean / Thai.
    • Passengers needing headphones must purchase them separately (NTD$20 each).
    • Boarding depends on available space at the site; if the bus is full, boarding may not be possible. No refunds are provided once tickets are used.
    • Please remain seated and fasten your seatbelt while the vehicle is in motion.
    • In case of rain, please bring your own raincoat; alternatively, the driver will assist in closing the top deck canopy.
    • n the event of a double-decker bus breakdown, staff will arrange alternative guided tours without further notice.
    • Both the starting point and ending point of the double-decker bus are at Taipei Main Station. Passengers boarding at any point along the route must disembark at Taipei Main Station and cannot return to the original boarding point.
    • Single ride tickets become invalid once you disembark; to ride again, you must purchase another ticket. Please assess your itinerary and needs before purchasing.
    • Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
    • Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohibited; individuals found violating these rules will be asked to leave immediately.
