Taipei 101 is located in the bustling Xinyi District and is a must-visit attraction for travelers coming to Taiwan. The observation deck is situated on the 89th floor of the building, offering a panoramic view of Taipei City that has become an essential experience for visitors.
After purchasing the admission ticket at the ticket counter on the 5th floor, visitors can take commemorative photos in the designated area before boarding the Guinness World Record's fastest and constant-pressure elevators to reach the 89th-floor observation deck. The two dedicated high-speed elevators ascend at a speed of 1,010 meters per minute, taking only 37 seconds from the 5th floor to the 89th-floor observation deck.
Once you reach the 89th-floor observation deck at an elevation of 382 meters, you will enjoy an excellent panoramic view in all directions. On clear days, you can see the city's buildings, large and small, transformed into adorable miniature models. Surrounded by gently rolling green hills, the beautiful and charming city of Taipei is truly awe-inspiring.
In addition to the high-speed elevators, the interior of the building houses the world's largest and heaviest wind damper, with a diameter of 5.5 meters and weighing 660 tons. It is the only wind damper exposed for visitors to see. Constructed from 41 layers of steel plates with a thickness of 12.5 centimeters, it extends from the 92nd floor to the 87th floor, serving as an important structure for wind and seismic resistance in Taipei 101. Visitors can catch a glimpse of this spectacular damping system during their visit.
The observation deck also offers various facilities, including high-powered telescopes, souvenir photography services, a beverage bar, souvenir shops, and even the world's tallest mailbox. These thoughtful designs aim to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience.
