In response to the Novel coronavirus epidemic, the museum has taken measures expand environmental disinfection to ensure safety and the prevention of outbreaks. From 14th of February , the Northern Branch will adjust business hours as follows: Tuesday through Sunday from 09:00~17:00 and closes on every Monday; The Southern Branch will remain its business hours but may be subject to changes according to the epidemic.

  • The product is a regular ticket to the NPM. Access is available to current exhibitions at Exhibition I (Main Building) at the NPM Northern Branch as well as Zhishan Garden on the day of reservation.
  • The ticketholders with a reserved entry time slot are allowed for priority entry which is not subject to the limit on number of visitors in the exhibition hall and can use the “Reserved Priority Entrance”.
  • Applicable to: General audiences.

  • Entry instructions: Scan QR CODE at the “Reserved Priority Entrance”

  • Online booking time : 30 days before the visit day, log in to this website to complete the booking and purchase the ticket, and enter with the electronic code (QR code).For example, If you plan to visit the National Palace Museum on June 30, you can make an appointment to purchase tickets and complete the payment on May 31, and enter with an electronic ticket (QR code).
  • Returns policy: Any unused admission tickets can be returned online prior to the reserved time for a full refund without a processing fee. Returns and refunds will NOT be accepted after the start of the reserved time. For example, if your reserved time is 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. on January 2, 2019. Please make a return application BEFORE 10:00 a.m. on January 2, 2019 (based on the application time on the NPM’s ticketing system). Returns will NOT be accepted after 10 a.m. on January 2, 2019.
  • There will be no “extra” proof of purchase issued for the ticket. Please refer to the "Payment Success Notification Letter" sent by the system instead.
  • Please complete payment within one hour after the order is created. The system automatically cancels the order after the payment deadline. The order is thus completed only once full payment is made.
  • The following visitors can visit the NPM free of charge:
  1. Visitors (of all nationalities) aged under 18.
  2. People (of all nationalities) with disabilities and one accompanying person.
  • For ticket purchase policy for R.O.C. citizens, please visit the NPM website.
  • In accordance with the “2018 Taipei Highlight Monuments and Historic Sites”, discount tickets (NT$150) apply to all visitors (of all nationalities) visiting the National Palace Museum (NPM) Main Building on Historic Monuments Day (September 15 &16).For visitors who wish to visit the NPM on September 15 and 16, please buy tickets at the ticket office.
  • Free entry days: New Year’s Day (Jan. 1), Lantern Festival, International Museum Day (May 18), World Tourism Day (Sep. 27), National Day (Oct. 10), and Taiwan Culture Day (Oct. 17).
  • Backpacks or large luggage need to be stored at the museum’s checkroom prior to entry.
  • Food, drinks and water are NOT allowed in the exhibition halls.

 

  • The ticket can only be used within a reserved time frame on the reserved date. The ticketholders arriving before the start or after the end of the reserved time slot will be redirected to the regular entrance by Museum staff.
  • The ticket is applicable to the NPM Main Building, Zhishan Garden . Visitors who wish to visit Zhishan Garden shall enter by presenting the QR CODE provided.
